The books shown here are from a series of mixed media works that analyze contemporary society from social, environmental and ethical standpoints.  They  address the effects of capitalism and consumerism on societal and personal identity.  Consumerism permeates our society.  It is the very foundation of the capitalist system.  However, it is not a healthy system for the individuals within society and often has a negative effect on our behavior toward others and our own self-image.
